Xiaodao will never message or email you first to charge for "consultations" on absurd pretexts like warding off disaster, dissolving bad luck or changing your fate. If you come across a scam like this, please don't believe it, and let us know right away. Thank you.

What is Xiaodao

Xiaodao is a website for studying and learning Eastern metaphysics. It has a range of simple features for everyday fun and fortune. Xiaodao's own reasoning engine helps you organize and think through work matters. You can also use it to study Bazi, get a written report and ask follow-up questions about the details.

Eastern metaphysics deserves a modern, scientific presentation — for the benefit of people everywhere.

What you can do

Everyday Delights: Five everyday readings, one at a time: Mahjong Reading, Fishing, Daily Drink, Nail Art and Travel. Choose a few options, and a Qimen Dunjia chart is cast for the moment you start your reading. You get a result with one of five grades and suggestions. For One-tap MBTI, choose a Bazi profile to get the corresponding MBTI type.
Meeting: Choose the meeting's start time, your role and goal, and how the participants' seniority compares with yours. A Qimen Dunjia chart is cast for the meeting's start time. You get a ten-part overview, from meeting dynamics and how to open to actions after the meeting. Time-only: you can use it after signing up. With Bazi: your selected profile needs a Bazi report.
Bazi Report: Generate a report from a Bazi profile, with an overview and eleven chapters. The arc of a whole life, every Luck Pillar, career, wealth and relationships, plus this year and the next six years. It takes about half an hour for Stable and about an hour for Preview, and you can leave the page while it works. For Xuan-tier Daoyou and above.
Bazi Q&A: Ask follow-up questions based on a Bazi report. Choose a topic, what you want to explore and a time range. You get an answer broken down by time period, with lines quoted from the report at the end, in about three minutes. For Xuan-tier Daoyou and above.
Daily Fortune: Choose a profile with a Bazi report. Qimen Dunjia and that profile's Bazi are used to give you today's "Good for", "Watch out for", "Direction", colors, and food and drink, plus a line each on work, money, love and learning.
Daily Insight: One face-reading question a day, with four options. After you answer, see the right answer, an explanation and its classical source, plus "What Science Says".

How it differs from asking an AI chatbot

The Bazi chart is calculated by a program using true solar time for the birthplace, and Xiaodao's own reasoning engine works from that chart.

Each chart gets one Bazi report: an overview and eleven chapters, with the reasoning as part of the text.

In Q&A, you ask follow-up questions on that report alone. "Behind the result" at the end of each answer quotes lines from the report itself and says what could change the conclusion.

We dig deeper along the same foundation; the big picture won't change.

For Mahjong Reading, Fishing, Daily Drink, Nail Art and Travel, a Qimen Dunjia chart is cast for the moment you start your reading. How the result was reached is shown after it.

Using Xiaodao in mainland China

People in mainland China use the international site directly, with every feature available.

You can sign up with email.

If your prices are shown in Chinese yuan, you can also use Alipay to buy Dao Points or a one-month membership.

How to start

You can look around every page first. Starting a reading, creating a Bazi profile, answering Daily Insight, topping up and becoming a member need an account; a sign-in box pops up when you get there.

Use the sign-in button at the top of the page to sign up with email or Google.

For Time-only in Everyday Delights, you don't need a Bazi profile. You can use it as soon as you sign up.

Choose "Create a Bazi profile" and enter a birth date, time and birthplace to see the chart and timeline. You need a profile to read a Bazi Report too.

Q&A, Daily Fortune and With Bazi all need a Bazi report first.

For what each tier includes and what each feature costs, see Membership & Dao Points. For other questions, see the FAQ.
